The club is run by an enthusiastic team and please come and introduce yourself on one of the walks or if you have questions please contact one of the following. You can click on the name to send an email.

Chair and Area Committee Representative

It's my job to keep your committee in order and to make sure our meetings run to time. With such an overwhelmingly enthusiastic bunch this year, that's not always an easy task. I also represent us in the broader Ramblers context on the area committee, where I bring the average age down by a few years!

I'm also the group's resident 'twitcher' and can be usually found skulking around a local reservoir when not out walking. I hope to meet you all on a walk somewhere this year. Please come up and say hi if you see me.

  Sean Moore

Group Secretary

Jane Knowles

Treasurer

I look after the group's finances. Which surprises some people but the group operates very efficiently over the Internet and our budget is very modest. I also host social events like Ceilidhs, brewery tours and pub meals.

Hope to see you on one of them!

Larry Bennett

Socials Coordinator

As the group socials coordinator I am happy for you to ask for advice and help, if required, about organising social events for us.

If you are thinking about organising a social event for the group in the future please get in touch so we can plan it into the diary. Oh and I also organise an event or two myself!

Trevor Gent

Membership Secretary / Enquiries

Info on CWW, sign you up for Sean's weekly e-mail about our Walks & Socials, how to join?  I'm the one.

(Sorry, no 'get-fit' tips - just come on the walk).

Mary Wayne
Media Coordinator and Web

The club has had a very successful 2011 and look forward to many interesting walks this year and I want to make it as easy as possible for new walkers to join us.

If you have any good photos from the walks then please send them to photos@chilternsww.co.uk or post them on our Facebook Page.

Lawrence Jones

Footpath Secretary

I keep an eye on the state of footpaths in the group's assigned parish -- Great Missenden.  I'm also involved in Ramblers activities to promote the UK's footpath network.

As one of the more avid participants in the group's social programme, I was given this role to remind me that walking is our main focus!

Anne Mograby

Walks Coordinator (joint role)

I'm Chris, and together with Ruth and Linda, I co-ordinate the walks programme. I joined CWW over a year ago, and I haven't looked back! If I want to go walking, I no longer have to scrape around to find friends to go with....or plan ages in advance, I just turn up at one of the many walks on the programme.

Why don't you? In fact I thought the walks programme was so great, I nearly bought the company (well not quite..)

Christine Parsons

Walks Coordinator (joint role)

Ruth Oldfield

Training Coordinator

For those who want to add to their walking skills and knowledge. Throughout the year we will be running the Walk Leader Buddies Scheme.

So whether you want to become a walk leader, have someone to plan walks with, someone to recce with, someone to co-lead with or learn how to navigate, then this scheme is for you. The scheme is run on a 1 to 1 basis and will be tailored to meet your needs. All you have to do is ask.

Technical questions are also welcome. So if you need information or advice on anything that is walking related. For example, where to buy stuff, why you get blisters, which equipment or kit is best etc etc. All you have to do is ask.

Bob Smith

Area Committee Representative

Basically, my role is to attend the area committee meetings etc. and keep the group in touch with happenings in our area and vice versa.

Mark Mark Richards

Walks Library

If you have been thinking about leading your first walk or planning a walking holiday for the group but need some help and advice to make this happen then please come and talk to me and I’ll gladly give you some help and advice to get this underway.  I’ll even map out a walk for you if you want.  I’m also keen to receive your feedback on how we are doing as a committee, what we are doing well and where we could do better.

So if you see me on a walk and I walk with the group as often as I can, then please feel to come and have a chat.

Alan Shiell

Members' Representative

As a members' representative, I offer other committee members support and advice or opinions where needed.

I also do footpath checking for the Chiltern Society, and walks I lead are often spinoffs from this.

Justin Koprowski

Members' Representative

I joined CWW almost a year ago and thought it was such a great group that I have now joined the committee and help Chris and Ruth with the walks programme, as well as offering help and advice to other committee members.

Linda Szulc

Members' Representative

I've been walking with the group for about a year now and decided to get more involved.  My role as a members representative is to help out other committee members and represent the members views.  If you have any feedback to give please let me know.
