Note on using Google Calendar

On Google Calendar, you can click on a field called "map" and this opens up a google map with the startpoint of the walk. The pointer on the map is based on whatever you put in the "Where" field on the Google calendar.

Most people will put an address including the Postcode. This is often adequate but can sometimes be misleading in rural settings such as Cowleaze Wood and Ashridge leading to walkers calling up the leader for directions and delaying the start of a walk.

So you might want to put this in the where field for Cowleaze "Cowleaze Wood, Watlington OX49 5HX". This is the nearest postcode but is half a mile away.

You can specify the GPS Coordinates in the following way "@Cowleaze Wood, Watlington OX49 5HX @51.654707,-0.952338" and is accurate to the nearest 10 metres. The figures "51.654707,-0.952338" can be put into a standard Car Sat Nav system where available. You should be able to find the GPS coordinates from the link in the module on the right.
