A moderate-paced walk in the beautiful area of the Chiltern Hills West. Leaving Stokenchurch, we head to Cowleaze wood and Aston Rowant Nature reserve. then down towards Harecramp cottages. We then walk east towards Wormlsey Park before hiking up to Ibstone common. From there, we walk to Turville wood before heading to St Nicholas Church in Ibstone. Then, we stroll through Twigside bottom and Penley wood before heading back to Stokenchurch.
Moderate to easy walk with only one steady climb at the beginning. Short up and down on South Bucks way. Woodlands and tracks.
Cross the A413, moderate climb towards M25 cross on footbridge into Denham Marsh Wood follow Marsh Lane to Great Halings Wood, which is the furthest point on the walk. Short road walk on Tilehouse Lane to join South Bucks way back under M25. Pass over top of Gerrards Cross Course and by Chalfont Heights Scout camp. Stop in adjacent field for lunch around 12:45. Drop down through Chalfont Heights and across bottom of the Golf Course along the back of Chalfont Park crossing A413 back to start point.
Bring packed lunch.
